Hi, we're David & Tia and we're offering our 2/3 bed former home for vacation / holiday rentals in the beautiful seaside town of Ayr in Scotland.

We spent many happy years living at Inverdon and we still absolutely love the building, the grounds, the apartment and the location...... but we have an Old English Sheepdog (Parsley) and he's getting on a bit now so finds the stairs a bit too much. We didn’t want to sell the apartment so we got rid of Parsley. Kidding! We moved for the wee fella and he’s got his own garden now so we thought we’d let others enjoy the wonderful apartment, the fantastic location & the breath-taking views!

We're also open for the prestigious 2024 Golf Open at Royal Troon and can offer accommodation for the entire event! Please contact us if you would like more details and information!

Our Place
A quiet, family friendly idyll, (sorry, no parties), and ideal short term holiday / vacation rental situated on the top (2nd) floor of this beautiful 2 bedroom (+ double sofa-bed) traditional executive apartment set on the upper floor of a 19th century blonde sandstone listed building located within the wonderful seaside town of Ayr in Scotland, the very heart of Burns’ country!

Enjoying stunning south facing views across the golf course & The Old Racecourse to the Carrick Hills, Inverdon is within minutes’ walk of Ayr’s beautiful beaches, parks & golf courses, restaurants & bars and yet enjoys a tranquil setting nestled within its own mature grounds.
Location
Although situated in a lovely, peaceful & relaxing location, Inverdon lies close to a wealth of amenities including Ayr's beautiful beaches (5 minutes' walk), world renowned golf courses,(Belleisle Golf Course is a ten minute walk / 3 minute drive away!), parks, bars, restaurants, Ayr's Odeon cinema, the Citadel Leisure Centre, Ayr Railway Station, The Gaiety Theatre, ten pin bowling at LA Bowl, Pirate Pete's Family Entertainment Centre on the beach, Rabbie Burns' Cottage, Rozelle Park & Belleisle Golf Course.......all of which are within an easy ten-minute drive from Inverdon.
The ferry service to the stunning Isle of Arran is very regular (weather dependent) and leaves from Ardrossan which is approximately half an hour’s drive away or just under an hour by train.
Add to that the stunning surrounding Ayrshire countryside, Prestwick International Airport (Scotland's only rail connected airport!) on your doorstep and internationally renowned golf courses at Prestwick, Troon and Turnberry, and it really makes Inverdon a lovely place to be!
Around & About
Inverdon sits within its own grounds and is a very tranquil and relaxing setting but is also within five minutes' walk of Ayr beach and a handy convenience store and around a ten-to-fifteen-minute walk from Ayr town centre which offers a wide range of amenities including bars, restaurants, the local Odeon cinema, the Citadel Leisure Centre, Ayr Railway Station, The Gaiety Theatre, ten pin bowling at LA Bowl, Pirate Pete's Family Entertainment Centre on the beach, retail outlets and much more!

We have two wonderful, licenced hotels nearby that provide a lovely, homely atmosphere with an open fire (in winter months) and wholesome food on offer throughout the day. The Chestnuts Hotel is around five minutes’ walk away and The Abbotsford Hotel is approximately 3 minutes’ walk away.

Scotland is the world-renowned home of Golf and some of the best courses are in Ayr, Prestwick and nearby Troon (around 10 miles away). The view to the front of Inverdon is actually over ‘The Old Racecourse’, hence the name ‘Racecourse View’, and the very well-regarded Belleisle Golf Course just beyond.
